Hi! My name is Jia Xin (she/her/hers). I am a MA student specializing in learning sciences and human development. Working as an elementary tutor for almost ten years sparked my interest in teaching, so now I am also a middle school science teacher in the Bay Area. My main interest is in designing curriculum that supports students in thinking critically about their work and world.
My work with the CoRE Lab focuses on designing a framework, the Data Practices Integration Framework, to support teachers in integrating data practices into STEM curriculum in order to foster students’ deeper engagement with and critical leveraging of data in a data-driven world.
