Xinyu (Celia) is graduating with a Master’s degree in Learning Sciences at Berkeley School of Education. She is an award-winning science toolkit designer, a bilingual elementary school teacher, and a passionate STEM education researcher who enjoys hanging out with students in the classroom, especially listening to their mathematical understanding and scientific exploration.
As a member of CoRE Lab, Xinyu has been working on the Writing Data Stories project since the spring of 2020. She is primarily interested in how students leverage their everyday practices to make sense of publicly available datasets and how curriculum, equipped with technology, can help students foster an agentive stance while interpreting scientific results.
